Good suggestions. I'd say the webcam isn't really necessary if you have a phone with a good camera already. The only problem is placing the phone so it doesn't fall over. From a quick search I was able to find a cell phone tripod on amazon.

That's true. Cellphone cameras are amazing nowadays. Didn't even think of that haha (:

A camera/webcam would be a good idea, since a lot of people like visual triggers. On top of my head I'd say the Logitech HD C920 is a solid choice. Not too expensive, especially if you buy a used one. A binaural mic. is almost a must as well nowadays. Doesn't have to be the 3Dio (unless you can afford it), a Blue Yeti or a Blue Snowball are both really well sounding binaural microphones that aren't too pricey, especailly compared to the $400+ price tags on some of the more expensive ones.

For me specifically, I never really liked ASMR roleplaying, and a trigger that I didn't expect to have was yawning. Good too see some diversity in the community (:
